NEW YORK, Jan. 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Electric Wonder Creative, the Brooklyn-based creative duo of Justin Ulloa and Jamie Dwyer, have recently completed work with musician White Widow on a highly unusual collaborative piece, entitled White Widow: A Psychological Thriller.

White Widow – multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer Carla Patullo – approached the duo to create an animated counterpart to a concept album in its early stages of development. She collaborated with Electric Wonder in imagining the story, themes, and characters with the ultimate goal that the film and music would begin to inform each other as production moved forward. Before long, White Widow: A Psychological Thriller was brought to life as a silent animation, set to a 29-minute soundtrack in full.

Electric Wonder's visual piece utilizes a fusion of the team's rich background in disciplines such as graphic arts, animation, and film production. It features a surprisingly distinct style – touching on themes of film noir, erotic b-horror, and retro-Americana – that compliments the atmospheric indie rock soundtrack with a surreal, animated digital collage of photography, original illustrations, and computer-generated sets and props.

White Widow is currently in the process of producing a Fall 2013 tour, where she and her band will perform the full soundtrack live to the animation, in the tradition of orchestra-accompanied silent film. Additionally, this week, Patullo will begin releasing a new series of tracks entitled Cuts That Burn, a re-imagining of previously-released material (including a number of selections from A Psychological Thriller), mashed together with new studio recordings.
